Rigorous out-of-the box strategies
When Filmdoo first approached us they were handling their SEO and content marketing in house and were achieving higher than average results. To become a serious player in the international market was going to take an out of the box strategy and they were already at the top of their game in many areas.
The Film features, interviews and reviews which led their content marketing strategy were performing well so we decided to focus strongly on technical SEO.
In order to maximise the benefit gained from the content on the site including the Films we launched an intensive program to incorporate Schema by adding micro-data throughout the whole site for movie titles, actor and director proles and movie reviews. Included in this strategy was a tool known as Google Data Highlighter which had recently been introduced.
As well as this we re-wrote every single page title and meta description for all movies and written content on the site to ensure that they were unique and throughly optimised for the best possible search engine results.
In order to improve user experience, boost website engagement and decrease bounce rate we advised to implement a content personalisation strategy for logged in users showing them movie recommendations based on their previous user behaviour and/or location.
